About the CMH Hospital
The hospital was established in 1854 as a British military hospital by the British military as a specialised treatment centre for British officers serving in the subcontinent. In 1927 the British military rays another hospital nearby name the Indian military hospital IMH. The BMH and I am as served as treatment facilities for British drops and Indian crops serving the British, respectively. It was not until 1943 that the British decided to Amalgamate both hospitals into one contiguous unit primary due to administrative issues and name it the combined military hospital.
In 1947 after Pakistan Independence, the combined military hospital was handed over to the Pakistan army. It was a 200 bed hospital at that time the need for increasing medical facilities and the increasing population mandated several expansions of the hospital.
In 1982 its capacity was increased to 800 beds and was upgraded to a class a hospital. It was further expansion in 2004 with the addition of two red more bats increasing its capacity to 1000beds. The construction of new CMH block for 1100 best capacity is under process will be completed in 2024 the CMS Lahore was commanded by Maj gen Adil Khan,Brig Asgar Chaudhary, Brig Sahar Zaheer Siddiqui, Brig rahat, brig Nasir Javed Malik.
CMH Lahore is a multidisciplinary hospital with departments covering various medical specialities such as cardiology oncology orthopaedics, neurology and geriatrics among others. The hospital has modern diagnostic facilities including imaging services laboratories and specialised testing units. CMS Lahore also offers emergency service intensive Care units and surgical facilities to handle avoid range of medical conditions and emergencies. The hospital follows international guidelines and protocols to ensure patient safety infection control and ethical medical.
